We would like to invite you to our launch event this year. The 22nd Open Text Web Solutions Usergroup Conference will take place on February 22nd 2010 from 9.00 am till 5.00 pm at the Courtyard by Marriott Munich City Center, Schwanthalerstr. 37,  Munich. An allotment has been arranged for at this hotel to help accommodate the participants of our conference. Please, visit the hotel website to find further information.

All participants who arrive the day before the event are welcome to join us for a guided tour of the city between 07.00 pm an 08.30 pm. Afterwards we will take the opportunity to do some networking in a relaxed atmosphere: starting 08.30 pm at the „Weisses Bräuhaus“ it is located at: Tal 7, 80331 Munich.

Social Media - More than a US-phenomenon

Enterprise 2.0 or 'Social Media' is becoming reality, it changes digital interaction and develops from a hype into a real business benefit. How can corporations today already profit will be pointed out in a joint lecture by Open Text, netmedia and Cyberhouse:

Enterprise 2.0 is suitable for daily use: Daniel Kraft, former CEO with RedDot and who used to be part of the executive suite with Open Text is going to present the link between the phenomenon '2.0' and the advantage for the daily grind. He will introduce not just the strategical approach but also  a concept together with concrete application scenarios.

Solutions & Integration: Solutions on basis of the Open Text products will be shown by Dr. Andreas Stöckl of CYBERhouse and Tobias Mitter of netmedia. In doing so  there will be a demonstration of available products as well as integration into existing  networks such as Facebook or GooglWave.

The technical foundation: The latest portfolio of Open Text in enterprise 2.0 together with a view into future versions will be given by Lars Onasch and Bernfried Howe. The technical potential will be explained next to the commercial aspects of the extended portfolio. 

Aim of this joint lecture is to list the potential for the established customers and therefore provide an overview on how existing investments enable a way into enterprise 2.0.
