The Competence-Team is not a closed event. We are looking for more committed Open Text-experts!

The Competence team sees itself as a link between Open Text users and the staff of Open Text. The members of the team, all of them experienced Open Text users and service providers  seek to keep a direct and open dialogue with the manufacturer upright. The goal is to create a separate platform which enables the manufacturer and the users to discuss the problems, needs and possible problem solutions at eye level.

The Competence Teams tasks are:

• The open, direct and constructive dialogue with Open Text
• Bundling and publication of knowledge around Open Text products

The Competence-Teams´ initial meeting was held in Colone in June of 2008. Able to participate for the gathering were representatives of Leica Geosystems, Uni Karlsruhe, Netmedia, Sisaro and Intentive. The Teams´goals as well as the next steps were jointly defined during this encounter.

Concrete plans about what should happen next exist. The most important step is a joint kick-off with representatives of Open Text Web Solutions. Once a date is established, it will be published on this website.

The current topics that need to be dealt with and should be pursued are:

• Configuration of a "Open Text Knowledge base"
• Improvement of communication with support
• Improvement of transparency when software errors occur
