Members decide change of name to Open Text Web Solutions Usergroup

The Open Text Web Solutions Usergroup diced during this years general meeting on September 21st 2009 in Hamburg to change its name: In the future the interest group for RedDot-users  and -service providers  will be named Open Text Web Solutions Usergroup. Therewith the user group is following the development of CMS-producer RedDot, which belongs since 2007 to the Canadian ECM-provider Open Text. The Canadians integrated RedDot as Open Text Web Solutions into their product portfolio.

„Not much changed for us apart from the name by transferring from RedDot to Open Text .“, stated Dirk Langenheim, former and present executive chairman of the Usergroup. „We will continue to be recognized as an important Feedback-Partner and we have regular contacts. With the name change we are demonstrating our relatedness to the product.“

The general meeting elected a new executive committee:
Dirk Langenheim president of  the Intentive corporation which is in charge of more than 150 active Open Text Websolutions projects, was confirmed to be the usergroups executive chairman..
Financial chairman will be Stefan Popp of SEMIKRON International GmbH. This company is the market leader when it comes to diode- and thyristor-semi-conductor modules and  counts 3000 employees. SEMIKRON is using Open Text Web Solutions for its company intranet.
Further members of the executive committee are Leo Mindel with Sotic ltd. the British provider for online solutions, Simona Naber is the consultant when it comes to the Open Text Management Server as well as Ulrich Weiß who is with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Frederic Hemberger has resigned from the executive committee.
